The CDE offers or facilitates a number of diabetes courses for healthcare professionals. These include:

The CDE 5-Day Advanced Course in Diabetes Care for Health Professionals

This state-of-the-art course is presented regularly at our Centre in Houghton, Johannesburg. The Course is an excellent primer on diabetes and many health care professionals and pharmaceutical industry representatives new to the field have benefited greatly by attending our Courses. Attendance of this Course is a requirement to accredit as a CDE “Centre of Excellence” Provider.

(For Doctors. Late Applications close 30 January 2012, but ~50 % sponsorships limited)

The CDE Online Accreditation Course for Dieticians

This is a newly available on-line course, available only to ADSA registered dieticians, who have elected to become contracted CDE service providers. Access to this course is provided via the “Provider Area” secure login on the home page.

The IPAF / CDE 1-day Course in Diabetes Care (for IPA Foundation doctors)

This 1-day course in Diabetes Care is made available to doctors who are contracted to the IPAF / CDE network. Attendance of this course is compulsory for contracted doctors, but non IPAF Doctors are welcome to attend. The course is provided at various centres around South Africa.
